Situated in the sheltered bay of Palmar at Belle Mare on the East coast of Mauritius, Ambre Hotel, a 4* establishment and stretches out on 1km of white sandy beach bordered by a turquoise lagoon.
Located at 45mins from the airport and 40mins drive to Port Louis, the Capital of the island.

Resting on the border of one of the most beautiful beaches of white sand, more than one kilometre long, the «Ambre Hotel» will seduce you with its Mauritian architecture and its elegant thatched roofs. Protected by the coral reef, the turquoise lagoon is ideal for swimming and for all the water sports: scuba diving, canoe, windsurfing, water-ski, glass bottom boat trips… Here, the parents will spend peaceful holidays and the children are kings: designed for families, the hotel reserves the Kid’s Club for the youngest and the Club Ados for the adolescents. On the issue of well-being, the « The Spa », balneotherapy centre, proposes complete fitness programmes. For the pleasure of your taste buds, the bar concocts delicious exotic cocktails, whereas the imagination of the four restaurants will compete to propose you different worldwide flavours; amongst which, of course, the Creole cuisine with its delicate spicy flavours. Finally, the evening entertainment will allow you to dance the well-known rhythms of the local music.

The 298 rooms are distributed in 4 categories on three floors. All of them with wide glass opening, the comfortable furniture, Creole style, harmoniously blends with the very colourful decoration.
140 Standard Rooms
74 of them have a balcony or a terrace with garden furniture. 66 have sea view and are on 1st and 2nd floor. Some are communicating. They all have a bathroom with a bath tub and hairdryer. WC is separated. The rooms have a “king-size” bed of 2x2mt or two twin beds of 1x2mt.
112 Privilege Rooms
The 112 superior rooms have either a balcony or a terrace with garden furniture. Some can be converted into communicating family rooms; each of them with bathroom with a bath tub and a hairdryer. WC separated. The rooms have either a “ king size ” bed of 2x2mt or two twin beds of 1x2m. 70 (19 of which with twin beds) are on the ground floor.
26 Family Rooms
Recently constructed, these are two communicating rooms that can accommodate 2 parents with 2 children. They all have a terrace or a balcony with garden furniture. With two independent bathrooms (each of them with hairdryer) and two separated WC. They have a “king size” bed of 2x2mt in the parents’ room and two twin beds of 1x2mt in the children’s room.
6 Suites and 14 Family Suites Rooms
They have either a terrace or a balcony with garden furniture. The “sleeping” corner is separated by the “sitting room” corner(possibility to add an extra bed for a child less of 12 yrs old).
Equipped with a television set, minibar, safe, two telephones with direct phone lines. bathroom with shower and bath tub. WC separated. The rooms have a “ king size ” bed of 2x2mt (plus two twin beds of 1x2mt in the family suite). 2 Suites and 8 Family Suites are on the ground floor. 4 Suites and 6 Family Suites are on the 1st floor.

The Restaurants
Each of the four restaurants of the hotel proposes a different style of cuisine, a different way to eat and a specific atmosphere. On half board, upon reservation, a menu with no supplement is offered in all the restaurants.

This main restaurant will seduce you with its buffets. International buffet for breakfast. For dinner International buffet with (Mauritian, Indian, Chinese, Creole, Oriental and European corners). Open every day from 7h00 to 10h30, 12h30 to 15h00 and from 19h00 to 22h30.
Seating capacity 280 covers; it can be partially reserved in exclusivity for groups of 40 to 125 people. Dress code: casual smart recommended.

This is the ideal place for a candlelight dinner. In a sophisticated and romantic décor, the customers will appreciate its gastronomic menu.
It blends typical dishes of the island with an international cuisine of quality. The restaurant is opened every evening from 19h00 to 22h00.

« Les Alizés »
With your feet in the fine sand, you will be able to taste grilled freshly caught fish. The tables are under the shade of the thatched huts giving a plus to the already private, idyllic and disarming atmosphere of this restaurant facing the lagoon. Open every day from 12h30 to 15h00 and from 19h00 to 22h00 (except during rainy days), it proposes, apart from grilled food, Mauritian specialities. It can accommodate 120 covers. Dress code: smart casual recommended.
« Le Mare Monti »
Families will appreciate the warm conviviality and the Mediterranean cuisine of the Italian restaurant. It can accommodate 60 covers. Open every evening from 19h00 to 22h00. Dress code: smart casual recommended.

The Entertainment
- The discotheque “L’Aquarius” will allow the night birds to prolong the evening, from midnight to 2 o’clock in the morning. It is also possible to get married in the idyllic place of the “Ambre Hotel”! The ceremony will take place (upon request and on supplement) either in the gardens of the hotel or in the middle of the lagoon, on a pontoon specially decorated for the occasion… Marvellously romantic! Theme days are gleeful days throughout – musical entertainment, exhibition and cultural shows.

The Bars
« Le Sirné »
It is named after one of the ships of Alphonse Albuquerque, first European to have come to Mauritius in 1507. It is the flagship of the bars of the hotel. Its silhouette overlooks the waves of the swimming pool and the dancing floor. Open every day from 9h00 to midnight. Here, we serve sandwiches and fast food from midday to 17h00, crepes from 15h00 to 17h30. The evening, all for the music! A Mauritian group will distil the local rhythms and the dancing floor will be opened after dinner.
« Le Bar de la plage »
Directly placed on the beach as the name might indicate, it offers, from 9h00 to 18h00, cold drinks, tropical cocktails, sandwiches and fast food.
« L’Hibiscus »
In a cosy atmosphere, each generation has access to its dedicated area. Open from 17h00 to 02h00. On the first floor, one billiard table and video games are available for amateurs as well as kids and teenagers. Open everyday from 09h00 to 21h00.

Seminar and Conference Room
The hotel has an air-con conference room of 150 m2. Baptised « Alamanda » it can accommodate up to 120 people with a theatre seating arrangement. The tea-breaks are served in the garden facing the conference room.

The Balneotherapy Centre
« The Spa » is a 600 m2 space dedicated to well-being. In a sophisticated and Zen environment, a professional team will give you a wide range of personalised treatment s inspired to the Chinese and Indian medicine. This enclosed and peaceful universe is decorated with ceramics with oriental motifs. A moment of pure relaxation to be repeated every day between 10h00 and 20h00. Access authorised to 12+ of age.

The concept and the method « Chromaterapy »
The « chromaterapy » takes its principles from the energetic Chinese medicine that considers the body under the physical and energetic form. It rests on the law of the Yin and Yang and the five elements of the Chinese tradition, i.e. Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water and associates to each element a colour: green, red, yellow, blue, and violet.
Combining the ancestral know-how and the latest technologies, the “ The Spa ” proposes a range of exclusive products “ phytobiodermie ” (literally translated “ the action of the plants on the skin ”); a range of treatment for the face, the hair and the body. These products are made in Swiss with natural ingredients of top quality: clay, algae, planktons, vegetables, oligo-elements and essential oils.
Thanks to the latest technological equipment, the different treatments are preceded by a diagnosis test which establishes the reflex zones of the face and body, the morphology and energetic biorhythm of each individual. The Kid’s Club and Teens Club
The Kid’s Club “Ti Lou Lou’ - Looks after children aged between 3 and 12 years from 9.00 am to 22h00 in a Mauritian house especially dedicated to them. They have at their disposal a playground, a swing under the filaos trees and a drawing room. There is also a daily program of activities including boat trips, beach games, video games and film projection.
The Teens Club
Looks after teenagers from 12 to 18 years from 09h00 to 22h00. A minimum of 5 teenagers is required. The entertainment team organizes for them boat outings, tennis tournaments and beach football. Night entertainment is also proposed depending on the number of teens.
