Swim with the dolphins

This activity comprises of four packages:

Swim with the Dolphins - 2 hours

Enjoy the experience of seeing and swimming with the dolphins in their environment.

Once on board your skippers will brief you on:

• the species of dolphins
• their behaviour
• their habitat
• Guidelines for sustainable dolphin watching
• Safety measures

After swimming with the dolphins, you will be taken past the Crystal Rock to L'Ile aux Benitiers and capture the magnificent view of Le Morne Mountain. On reaching L'Ile aux Benitiers , Nathalie will prepare a delicious lunch to be served within one hour. The menu will consist of :

BBQ'd/grilled seafood brochettes, fish ,chicken,sausages with a side garden salad and garlic bread.

Drinks: Local beer, wine, juice, mineral water and soft drinks

After lunch you may take some time walking around the island or sunbathe on the beach.

**Please note that in order to see/watch the whales you will be taken out in the ocean, and  some safety rules and conditions apply.  Your representative will advise you on these at the time of booking.

This organisation works in collaboration with the MMCS in the study of dolphins on the west coast and on sustainable dolphin watch. The chief skipper, Alain, was invited for the “Atelier des Cétacés” held in Madagascar from the 1st to the 4th of July 2007 and organized by the COI.
The other guests were the MMCS, Tourism Authority among others from Mauritius. Alain was also awarded a certificate for his active participation in the Marine Environment.

Please note:

The service provider advises that dolphins are visible on 90% of the tours, in cases where dolphins are not spotted, there will be no refund, instead a second outing will be offered free of charge. No refund.

The service provider estimates that in 60% of cases one will see the Whales and if this is not the case, there will be no cash refund as the costs for such outing are too high in terms of fuel consumption. Thank you for your understanding.

IMPORTANT
Outings are not recommended for pregnant women.
All reservations should be made at least 24hrs prior.
Any cancellation, by the client, should be made at least 12hrs prior to scheduled departure, later cancellations will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
The service provider reserves the right to cancel any reservation if bad weather prevails whereby security of clients would be at risk.
Snorkeling equipment is available and will be provided upon boarding.
A light lunch of sandwiches and soft Drinks will be served on Dolphins and Whales Encounter outings only.
Whales Encounter is not recommended to children under 7 years old.
All children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

This service provider has comprehensive insurance cover for all guests in compliance with the Tourism Authority. Is very important to heed to and respect the directives given by the skippers on board at all times.
