Diving in Mauritius

Prodive Limited is a professional scuba diving company at the Casuarina Hotel 3* at Trou aux Biches, in the north west. We offer easy diving courses, full certification courses (PADI), diving excursions, private dives and exclusive dive charters. Diving expeditions are held twice daily in crystal clear waters, outside the barrier reefs at Trou aux Biches and Grand Bay. Provide Limited also offers full day dive chartered services aboard the 46 foot (14 metres) luxury cruiser to the islands on the north east of Mauritius and to the famous "Shark Dive" at Pigeon Rock.

Full day dive charters to the islands north east of Mauritius, private dives off our "Luxury Dive Cruiser" and our exclusive "Shark Dive" are arranged on request. “AMAN” A Luxury Dive Cruiser Overall length: 46 foot (14 m) Beam: 4.1 m Construction: Fibreglass Powered by: Two 180 hp Turbo Diesel Motors Licensed to carry 30 passengers.   “AMAN” is a luxirious cruiser designed to transport divers to the ocean beyond the barrier reefs in safety and comfort. It includes: 2 x double cabins,  galley, large saloon, sun deck, flying bridge, diving deck and fresh water shower and a diving platform. Equipment on board includes: VHS Radio, GPS, DVD & Radio cassette player, mobile telephone, navigation lights, life jackets, oxygen and an assortment of anchors, ropes and buoys.

The best dive sites are located in the north west of the island in the Grand Bay and Trou aux Biches areas. The exact location of each dive site is very important to ensure the most enjoyable dives. Be sure to dive with a professional dive operator to ensure that that you get the most out of your dives in Mauritius.

The Tube      7-11m coral reef dive - An excellent dive for beginners
Anchor Reef 9-19m coral reef dive - A beautiful all round site, hosting a complete variety of typical Indian Ocean marine life.
Stella Maru   14-25m wreck dive -  discover the ruins of a 145 foot Japanese fishing trawler, laying in an upright position and the abundance of fish and coral lives it holds.
Waterlilly      26m wreck dive - Two old water barges laying at a 30 degree angle to each other. Hosting an aquarium of fish.
Black Forest  35-50m drop off  - A deep dive hosting gorgoneon fan coral and black coral.
Coral Garden 18-21m coral dive - Explore big rock structures and fan coral creating natural passages for larger fish life.

The excellent sea conditions in Mauritius make it an easy place to learn to scuba dive. Elementary Scuba Experience (ESE) After a complete lesson in the pool where you will learn the basic skills to be able to enjoy a safe controlled dive, you will be taken out to sea to make a first dive. Do a minimum of at least three sea dive and you qualify for an (ESE) certification.  PADI  offers Open water, Advanced, Rescue and Dive master courses.
